Open Blue, the largest supplier of cobia to the US market and the largest deep water open-ocean farm in the world continues to move forward to demonstrate a company-wide commitment to responsible mariculture by achieving two major certifications to start 2016.

Open Blue continued to achieve the Global G.A.P. Standard for the second year following a comprehensive assessment of their business by Quality Certification Services (QCS) an independent accredited certification body. They added the Friend of the Sea standard to their list of achievements.

Open Blue is excited to announce the launch of their first fully branded frozen product into the domestic and international marketplace. Open Blue, the largest supplier of cobia to the US market and the largest deep-water open-ocean farm in the world is expanding their product offering to include an individually vacuum-packed, frozen cobia fillet that is both Halal and Kosher certified.

Here at Open Blue we are excited that we are planning to add an additional certification to demonstrate our shared commitment to providing high quality, well managed seafood in an environmentally responsible way.

We are pursuing the Friend of the Sea add on to our ongoing Global G.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance Standard, which covers the whole production process of the certified product from the hatchery until the point of harvest and packing.
